Lunar Eclipse
It's 0415 and I've just gotten up to start my day. Looking out my window, the world is darker than usual at this time. The lunar eclipse is still in full swing, with the face of the moon dark red. It won't last much longer though, as I can see the upper rim beginning to go white again as it passes through the deepest shadow of the earth.
It was a great opportunity to share an out-of-the-ordinary event with my family. We all got up at 0320 to make sure we caught it at its best. There we were, all huddled together in the cool, night air. Now they're all asleep as I'm having my coffee.

you always start your day at 4:15? wow! how i envy early birds like you... i go to bed around 4am :(
getting up before sunrise seems so invigorating and calming...what a great way to start the day...without all the noise and the rush...but i can't do it :(
cyberpunk, going to sleep at 3 or 4 am does tend to make it difficult.
I'm at the point now that I have to get up early. The day you made your early bird blog post, I actually got up 4 hours late because I had delayed my coffee so long I had a tremendous headache.
